Everton have reportedly reached an agreement with Chelsea for the permanent signing of winger Tyrique George.

According to reports, the agreement was completed on Friday evening, with discussions over personal terms with the 20-year-old expected to be the next step before the deal is finalised.

The transfer fee has not been disclosed. However, Everton are believed to have negotiated a lower price after deciding not to activate the £25 million option to buy George following his loan spell at the club.

Manager David Moyes is hoping to make George his second signing of the summer after Everton completed the arrival of Hayden Hackney from Middlesbrough earlier this week.

George made 11 appearances for Everton after joining on loan from Chelsea during the January transfer window, although he started only one of those matches.

The England youth international has scored six goals in 37 senior appearances for Chelsea and has also found the net twice in six matches for England’s Under-21 team.

The 20-year-old was recognised for his impressive performances by winning Chelsea’s Academy Player of the Year award in 2025.
