Manchester United have parted ways with women’s head coach Marc Skinner by mutual agreement, one month before the start of the new Women’s Super League season.
The club announced the decision in a statement on Monday, ending Skinner’s spell in charge after he was appointed in 2021.
Skinner guided Manchester United Women to their first major trophy by winning the FA Cup in 2024, marking a significant achievement during his time at the club.
Confirming his departure, the club said, “Marc Skinner has departed his role as head coach of Manchester United Women by mutual agreement,” adding that he had made “a significant contribution to the continued progress of Manchester United Women.”
Manchester United finished fourth in the Women’s Super League last season, ending the campaign 15 points behind champions Manchester City.
The Red Devils will begin their 2026/27 Women’s Super League campaign away to London City Lionesses on September 4.
