Barcelona have completed the signing of Belgian teenager Jesse Bisiwu from Club Brugge in a deal reportedly worth €8.5 million ($10 million).
The Spanish champions announced on Friday that the 18-year-old winger has signed a contract keeping him at the club until June 2031.
Bisiwu becomes Barcelona’s latest summer signing, joining Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi ahead of the new season.
The Belgium youth international is regarded as one of the country’s brightest young talents. Barcelona described him as a player with great potential, praising his pace, strength and dribbling ability.
Born on January 22, 2008, Bisiwu rose to prominence at the 2025 UEFA European Under-17 Championship, where he was named in the Team of the Tournament after helping Belgium reach the semi-finals.
He began his youth career at OH Leuven before joining Club Brugge’s academy in 2020. Over the past two seasons, he made 14 appearances in the UEFA Youth League, scoring three goals.
The winger also gained senior experience with Club NXT, Club Brugge’s reserve team, making his Belgian Second Division debut in 2023 at the age of 15. He went on to make 36 appearances before securing his move to Barcelona.
Although he did not play for Club Brugge’s first team, Bisiwu is expected to begin his time in Spain with Barcelona’s reserve side as he continues his development.
The move also sees him join Thomas Vermaelen and Fernand Goyvaerts as Belgian players to represent Barcelona.
