Chalobah exit clears No. 23 shirt for Lacroix at Chelsea

Chelsea’s new signing, Maxence Lacroix, is set to wear the club’s No. 23 shirt after Trevoh Chalobah moved closer to joining Italian side Como.

The shirt became available as Chalobah nears the completion of his transfer to the Serie A club, paving the way for Lacroix to take the number for the new season.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the development on Sunday, stating that Lacroix will wear the No. 23 shirt following the completion of his move to Stamford Bridge.

Lacroix joins Chelsea after impressing at Crystal Palace, where he established himself as a dependable central defender. He is expected to strengthen the club’s defensive options ahead of the new campaign.

Meanwhile, Chalobah is on the verge of completing his move to Como, bringing his time at Chelsea to an end as he prepares for a fresh challenge in Italian football.
